While at IHOP this morning, Edric kept asking Daddy for more syrup on his pancakes. After the third time he asked "Can I please have more syrup? Can you just pour it in my mouth this time?"

Reese just took 5 steps! She would only do it once so I failed to get a video. I will try again tomorrow. Edric first walked 10 days after his 1st birthday while we were in California and Reese is walking just about 1 week before her 1st birthday in Florida.

Edric just informed me that he used to work at McDonalds. He made fries at night. "It was a long long time ago."

I was trying to get a better video of Reese singing, but she was done singing and all she wanted to do was make sure her brother was all clean.

At our house here in Florida, there is a railing at the top of the stairs that looks down into the living room. Reese is a little sneaky one and whenever I turn my back, she crawls up the stairs in less than 30 seconds. She's very fast and pretty stable so I don't worry so much about her falling back anymore, but I do worry about her squeezing herself through the railings at the top and falling 15 feet down. I've told Edric that we don't want Reese to go near the railing because she could fall and die and we'd lose her forever. I know that sounds morbid, but I want him to know how serious it is. So, earlier today, Reese went toward the rail and Edric was standing right next to her so he pulled her back and I said "Good job. She can't go over there." and he said "Because she can died." And I said "Yes. It's very dangerous." And then he smiled and said "But then we will charge her!"

We use rechargeable batteries so when our batteries die, we recharge them.

he said

So a few weeks ago we were out for a walk and we saw a bunch of vultures eating some sort of animal carcass on the side of the road. I was a little nervous passing by them because they were so scary looking and there were so many. While walking today, we saw a beautiful white swan-like bird sitting on a house and I pointed it out to Edric. He asked "Are white birds nice?" And I said yes - white birds are nice. And he said "Why are black birds mean?" So I started to talk about how black birds aren't mean - that they just eat little animals - while white birds just eat fish. And he states "but little animals are nice and fish are nice." So, I start talking about the circle of life and how animals eat other animals to survive. I asked Edric if he could think of any animals we eat and he responded "animal crackers!"
