Reese's Pieces Sundae

Friendly's closed for good so this will have to do.

E being silly

They like to get on the plastic grocery cart on its side and pretend it's a car.

Grandma and Grandpa get their siding removed

The workers took off the aluminum siding and we got to see the original wood siding of the house. It was green! Grandma and Grandpa let E write on it before it got covered with the new siding.

tricycling, brotherly love, and playing croquet with Grandpa

I don't remember if we knew he could pedal. He's super fast.

Poor Grandpa never gets to rest when D is around.

Who needs TV when you can watch chickens?

Grandma and Grandpa have a neighbor with chickens. R said to Jack "Now we can't take these chickens home and eat them!" And she pointed at the neighbor and said "She must be the farmer!" (This is funny because it's suburbia and definitely not a farm.)

The chickens like to search for food in the woods behind her house. There are 5 of them.

Great Adventure with cousins and second cousins

We spent the night at Mommy's cousin's house in NJ and got to go to Great Adventure with them. It was a blast! E and his 2nd cousin, Ryan, became good buddies. D got to see animals on the safari. Mommy got to see an anteater for the very first time. E rode on a bunch of rides. And, at the end of the day, every one got to eat ice cream (which was probably their favorite part).
Henry, R, E's head popping out from behind Bugs, and Ryan

Greg took E and Ryan on the log flume. A video of it is below.

E and Ryan on a roller coaster.

Adam and I probably have a photo similar to this from about 30 years ago.

Grandpa rode a roller coaster for D. For a kiddie roller coaster, that thing went pretty fast. See video below.

Visiting Uncle Bill

E taking a pic with the Harry Caray signed ball.

And then D wanted a pic too.

And R too.

E's favorite part was the antique baseball gloves.

He pretended to catch with each one.

Uncle Bill's old catcher's glove. Aunt Carolyn had dipped for him.

Bernie William's locker room chair

E took pics of his favorite things.
Thanks for letting us visit, Uncle Bill!

E had a great time!

A visit with Great Grandma

We got to eat lunch with Great Grandma and see her apartment. It was just like visiting her at her old house, except for the restaurant in the same building and the elevator.

R got to ride the walker.

Then, of course, D did too.

Playing UNO with his great grandma just like his Mommy used to do with her.

Having a ball throwing little ball to at Great Grandma.

R was ridiculously silly.

We love you, Great Grandma!

Celebrating E's half birthday (a day late)

He requested a Carvel cake.

He needed to blow out a candle too, of course.

Daddy got to spend the day with us! E got to stay up late to see the end of the Braves game.
This is the hug that happened when our team won.
