She said "I wonder what Mickey Mouse is doing right now?" That was her way of asking if she could watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

She asked if she could go outside on the back deck. I said "Sure. Can you check on the flowers?" When she came back in, I asked how the flowers were doing and she said, "They're good! They're playing a game. They're playing hide and seek."

I think this is their first ice cream truck experience.

I gave him a fro yo pop from our fridge. He didn't know the difference.

He loves to sit on balls. I think that takes some balancing skills.

R and Mommy time

While D spent time next door with Carolyn and Caitlin, we played with marbles (choking hazards).

Mommy's little helper

D loves to help Mommy put the laundry away. He doesn't usually put the clothes in the right spot, but that just makes getting dressed in the morning even more fun.

D practicing baseball

I was doing something in the kitchen when I noticed D in the corner playing baseball by himself. He pretends to hit the ball and then drops the bat and runs away yelling something. Maybe he is saying "homerun!"? This isn't the best video of it because he stopped when he saw me with the camera.

When I hurt my foot - "I know what will make your foot better. You have to eat white foods because bones are white. You have to eat white foods like cauliflower."

She ate a hot dog and then a peanut butter sandwich and then asked for a turkey sandwich. I asked her where she was fitting all of this food. She pointed to one cheek and said the peanut butter sandwich was in there and she pointed to the other cheek and said the turkey sandwich will go here.

Her room had toys all over the floor. I said "This is too messy. How can we walk around in here?!?" And she said "Like this!" and proceeded to tip toe around her room avoiding each little toy.

parent-teacher conferences day

Our busy morning included going to the doctor for D's 18 month wellness visit and then straight to the school for parent-teacher conferences.

R's conference was first. Her teachers said she is a great student and has improved so much since the beginning of the year. She is even writing her name all by herself. She listens well and follows instructions. They were particularly impressed by how well she catches on in Spanish class.

E's teachers wowed me. They love him and said he was an "amazing kid." They said that he is reading at a third grade level. He doesn't only read well, but he comprehends what he reads. He knows the entire list of 200 sight words and read all of them without any hesitation. They are really impressed by his handwriting as well. They also said that they love that he is smart and not cocky about being smart. They said that his brain never stops and they love challenging him.

taking photos at the park

I was trying to get a good pic of D for his 18 month post on here and R kept putting her face in front of him!

The only way D will eat a banana

"Take a picture of me eating too!"

Thank you for the Frozen book about us, Nana and Nonno!

It's a personalized Frozen book. They love it!

He looks tired, but so grown up in this photo.

D is 18 months old!

31.75" (30th%)     24 lb 15 oz (60th%)     head is 48 cm (70th%)

This little guy is starting to really show his personality. He gives his stinkface to everyone else, but he loves to laugh with his family. He especially loves to make Edric and Reese laugh. He is their biggest fan. He now says "Mommy" perfectly. He says many other words mostly imperfectly, including "hot dog" (his new favorite food), "pizza", "apple", "Elliott" (whenever he barks), "car", "go"... he says so many words. He loves bats and basically anything he can hit someone with. He loves to throw balls and anything that remotely resembles a ball and also food. He throws food a lot and sometimes thinks it's hilarious. If he doesn't want it, he throws it. He can run pretty fast and he walks up and down the stairs holding onto the railing or someone's hand. He can climb up anything, including up our stools and onto our counter. He even knows to move the stools right next to the counter on his own.

R's birthday party pinata video

For our memories...

singing "Happy Birthday" at R's party

I accidentally broke it up into two videos. I was only going to post the second one, but R's face in the first one is priceless.

Lost this balloon as soon as we stepped out of the car. R had a great attitude. She said "That's okay! I have another one!" (Thank goodness Daddy bought two balloons!)

Our sweet birthday girl
D and his good friend Matt

It had rained the last several days and all morning. We expected rain for the party, so we made "frozen play dough" (blue with glitter) to bring. The sun ended up coming out, but the kids loved the pay dough anyway.
