Now that Edric is 3, he's really thinking hard about things and asks A LOT of questions. This is a conversation we had the other night. I am writing in this blog not only to share it with everyone, but to always remember it myself

Edric had chosen to read a Christmas book about the star that led the wise men to the manger. I guess because it was just Easter, seeing a baby Jesus got the gears rolling in Edric's head.

E: (pointing at the book) Is that baby Jesus? What happened to Jesus?
Me: Remember Easter? Jesus died on the cross.
E: And then he came back.
Me: Yes. And then he went to Heaven.
E: Where is Heaven?
Me: It's so high up in the sky that we can't see it. It's above the clouds.
E: Above the clouds!? Can we go to Heaven?
Me: Yes - we will go to Heaven, but not anytime soon.
E: Why?
Me: Because you can't go there unless you die and we are all young and healthy and careful.
E: Careful?
Me: Careful - we all wear seat belts in the car and look both ways before we cross the street.
E: (wimpering) But I don't always look both ways!
Me: It's okay, but you should always look both ways. It's important.
E: Are the dinosaurs in Heaven?
Me: Yes, the dinosaurs are in Heaven.

On a very windy day last week, Edric flew a kite with Nana and Nonno. It was the first time it actually worked. He held on so tight!
